can i expunge my self, how do i get the nessasary documents todo this?

You can contact the clerk at the courthouse where you were convicted to get information about the process or you can hire a lawyer who will handle the matter for a modest fee.

Yes, you can do an expungement yourself. You must do it at the court and county where the conviction occurred. Check the court house where the conviction occurred and if they have a family law facilitator's office there they may be willing to walk you through the process. If that is not possible check online. I would start at California Courts and use their self help center. The first thing you must is check to see if you qualify for an expungement. Then you must petition the court under 1203.4 of the California Penal Code. I
