Expungement on PC 288(a)
I understand that any violation of pc 288 (including subdivision (a)) If this conviction was a felony but didnt result in state prison (Probation, county jail and fine only), can it be reduced to a misdemeanor under PC 17?

It depends on the specific section under which the person was convicted. Some sections, like 288(c)(1) are so-called wobblers which can be reduced to a misdemeanor. 288(a), involving conduct with a minor under 14, cannot.
