extradition possibilites
my son is incarcerated in a florida prison for felony robbery and grand theft, his release date is 12-12-09, he has a warrent for 2 counts of felony robbery and a previous 3 yr. summary probation sentence for the same thing in los angeles ca., this is where he is from. will ca. extradite him upon his release?

More than likely, he has a hold placed on him already for the warrant out of L.A. and he will be extradited when his time is up in Florida.

Most likely. Sounds like he'll be up for his third strike.

The State correctional departments generally know if there is an outstanding charge or warrant on someone who is currently serving a sentence in another State. In your situation I would tend to think there is a "hold" on your son and so when he finishes his sentence in Florida, the Florida correctional department will hold him for California. Generally California will extradite. Good Luck

Almost certainly. I would start looking for a lawyer to defend him here in Los Angeles.
