Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
failure to appear
I received a ticket for failure to obey traffic sign. I didn't receive my notification in the mail to pay the ticket. I went to court on the date I promise to appear and the ticket was not filed. Today I received a notice of failure to appear. Will I be able to get the failure to appear removed?

Re: failure to appear
You have taken a infraction and changed it to a misdemeanor. Go into the court and talk with the D.A. or city attorney and see what they will do for you. You may also explain it to the Judge and he may help. If you have a date stamped recept from the time you were first to appear then you will be ok.
