false impersonation of my mom and driving on suspended licence

I am getting a public defender but i want to be prepared to help defend myself how can i do this? First time offender/ college student and scared..what should i take to court?

It is almost ALWAYS unwise to represent oneself. Get a public defender. Most of them are good people they are just way too busy and do not have the time for the clients the way private attorneys do. (This is only generally true of course). If you really insist on representing yourself, just tell both the judge and the PD who might talk to you prior to your hearing. They will tell you what to do.

All you need to bring is your notice to appear and a clear head (so that you will not make a too hasty a decision to forgo legal representation).
