Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
My father has been diagnosed with early dementia. He was rear-ended a month ago and was found to have had a suspended license. We moved him out of his condemned home and are placing him in an assisted living facility. Well he got a ticket and had notice to appear in court, but we didn't know about this until after the fact and he has a bench warrant now. I faxed the Dr. diagnosis to the DA's office, but was wondering what will happen.

You had better get an attorney to take care of the bench warrant. The prosecutor is not looking out for your father's best interest.
