Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

my father sent my mother a voice tape which started with "how do you plead?", "not guilty." i could hear a woman speaking chinese. maybe he was pretending to be chinese. then i heard a woman saying "according to the guinness book of world records..." i think it's about my father's long fingernails. is having long fingernails which embarasses his relatives a criminal offense in america? maybe he claimed he's going for the record of longest fingernails in the world? if it's a crime to have long fingernails in america, what are the charges or charge against him? will he go to prison? for how long? respectfully yours, may lacanilao.

Having very long fingernails is perfectly legal. (I once saw a clerk at the Los Angeles Superior Court with nails that were about a foot long.) If your father's relatives are embarrassed by it, they need to deal with their embarrassment. They have no right to make him cut his nails, and the law will not punish him for letting them grow.
