Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

feds bust friend for conspiracy to make Meth...

My friend was arrest at work for conspiracy and/or knowledge of making Meth using the jobs products. The real case involved his close co-worker had been taking ingredients in order to make the drugs. My friend was taken to jail according to the police because he had knowledge that the ingredients were being taken NOT that he had ever took them but he knew about it. This guy has never taken drugs or sold drugs and has no prior criminal record. My question is, What is the best way defensively to approach his criminal defense and also do you have any advice on how I can help him.

The only way you can help your friend is to make sure that he is represented by compentent counsel immediately. If he cannot afford to hire an attorney then the public defender is available.

Additionally he should not be discussing his case with anyone!!!! The only possible exception would be his spouse, that does not include in girlfriend, significant other, and parents. He should be especially careful not to discuss his case with other individuals he may be around while in jail. Anyone of these individuals can be called as a witness by the DA, and forced to testify or go to jail.

More information about his case is needed to develope a defense to the case. The internet is open to the public, therefore nothing further should be siad by him or anyother person on the internet.
