Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
I am a felon in California . Convicted of misprision of a felony. I lost my rights to own a fire arm. I was a avid hunter. I'm wondering if I still can get a hunting license and hunt with a bow or cross bow. I also would like to know if there is any way I can get my rights back to own a fire arm since the felony wasn't a violent crime. Thank you.

After a felony, the way to get your firearms rights restored is a full and unconditional pardon from the governor. While you can apply directly for a pardon, typically you first get a certificate of rehabilitation which then becomes your application for pardon.
You need to demonstrate rehabilitation and that you are now living an upstanding crime free life.
