I thought I answered this question already, however let me say, it is not neccesarily in your partner's best interest for you to contact law enforcement. In my experierience, cops won't believe you anyway. I have done hundred's of these cases and you should, at the very least, contact an attorney who knows how to handle these matters, to ask questions. As a former deputy district attorney and a certified criminal law specialist, we are confident we can answer all your questions. My website is www.wallinlaw.com. Thank you for your question and I look forward to speaking with you. David Wallin

Re: Felony Battery

Domestic violence cases are tricky when the victim comes back later to change his/her story. The investigators and the prosecution very often do not believe the new version and think that the victim is recanting in order to save their partner/spouse.

This kind of situation is best handled through a lawyer. You should consult with a couple to see who might be right for you.

Re: Felony Battery

You need a lawyer. Talking to the police and telling them that you lied about being a victim could get you into trouble. I suggest you contact/hire an attorney and have them handle the situation.
