felony vadalism

i was charged with felony vandalism. i have a court appoited attorney, i also have a letter from the property owners, as well as the onsight managers stating all damages caused by me were fixed and paid for by me. The reason that it is a felony they are chargeing me for breaking my $900 flat screen television and the PS3 it cost about $700. can they charge me for destroying my own property?

Re: felony vadalism

No. That is dead wrong, if that in fact is the basis for charging you with a felony. Do NOT plead to that. Get a lawyer and then get some anger management classes. You may not realize how much a criminal conviction can screw up your life, so don't accept pleading to anything you are not guilty of. Get a lawyer and maybe explore a civil compromise dismissal.
