Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
My fianc I found out had a warrant issued to her from a failing to make payments on fines and such on a payment plan the courts gave her. She has been living on the streets for the most part and didn't have the money to pay it.
Im wanting to help her out by paying it off. Its been alittle over a year since she was suppose to start payments toward it.
What will they do if we go down there to the clerk.

While they could arrest her the most likely outcome is that they would accept your money and give her a date to appear in court.

I agree with Mr. Shapiro. To reduce the chance of arrest, you may want to have an attorney inquire and get the fines taken care of. They are not interested in arresting an attorney.
