Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

Fiance doing time on 6 bench warrants for failure to appear (from the 90s) repped by Public Defender. Plead to 30 days to one of the warrants. If I pay fines on the others (i don't know what they are) are they then gone? Trying to get an early release from LA County. With 5 more court dates yet to be determined I am looking for best option. Public defender knows what he's talking about I am sure, but I can't keep up in the 5 minute conversations packed with too much info to take in.

If your fiance is doing time on the 6 bench warrants, the court will have to address the original reason the warrants were issued in the first place. Your post is confusing, because you first state that he is doing time on 6 bench warrants, but then state that he has only been sentenced on one. Your willingness to pay a fine for him does not let him off the hook unless the prosecutor agrees to a plea deal. The reason that you cannot follow what the Public Defender is saying is because you are not listening. Many people only listen to what they want to hear from a lawyer, instead of what the lawyer is actually saying.
