Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

My fiance is doing time in a state prison for a crime he DID NOT committ! He was appointed a private attorney as well as a private investigator. The private investigator agrees that he did not committ the crime but his attrney cared less about the case and put NO effort into the case. What can I do? How can I make a complaint on the attorney? Is there anything else that can be done?

Maybe. How long ago was he sentenced? Did he file an appeal? If so, has it been decided yet? Has he petitioned for a writ of habeas corpus?

These and other options may be available to him, but he needs to act quickly if he hasn't already.

Feel free to contact me if you want to discuss your fiance's case further. I have over fifteen years of experience in appeals and am certified by the State Bar as a specialist in appellate practice.
