Fighting

What is the penalty in California for two minors to get into a fight. What if I fight someone for theft and he says I just started fighting him? how will I be penalized?

If i say to check my oppnents blood stream for narcotics, can the police do it?

If you're charged with battery the sentence will depend on whether you're situation is charged as a felony or misdemeanor plus other factors. There are several defenses to battery. Stopping a theft, if excessive force isn't used, is one of them.
