can i file again for a restraining order
i went o a restraining order hearing and was not prepared and my witnesses could not show up, so they denied my request basically due to lack of evidence. i want to refile and was wondering if i could do that. or should i have filed a continuance? it was my first time in a court room and didnt know the process. please help.

Unless the court specifically indicated on the record that the OSC was dismissed with prejudice, you may refile. But you are legally required to notify the court of the previous filing and the denial.
