Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
How to file statutory rape charges
Recently, it was brought to my attention that I was a victim of statutory rape. I was 17 and he was 32. I was in a relationship with this man and later married him. Beore the ''rape'' happened, he got me using illegal drugs and as a result became an addict (now clean for 1 1/2 years - the period since I left him) we are currently separated, waiting for the divorce to become final. Is there any way to press cHarges? And is there a statute of limitations for this?

Re: How to file statutory rape charges
You can contact the police department and make a report and see if they will take the report. If not, contact your local district attorney and ask what the statute is.
