Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

I filed an appeal in the criminal division after doing so I remembered that...1. I left the box where it ask if you need an attorney unchecked but I did answer the next question which asked if I had an court appointed attorney. Question what do I do to get it corrected thanks

I do not understand this because, to me, an appeal is a long-written custom document (a long legal brief) not a check-box form.

However if it is a form, what you are speaking of, someone will know the answer on here. Good luck!

If this is the notice of appeal you might try filing an amended form. Write the word "amended" in front of the title.

I think you are referring to the notice of appeal. Be careful with amended notices of appeal, because they might not be timely. I suggest consulting with a criminal defense attorney who handles appeals, because the general rule is that notices of appeal are construed liberally, and technical defects will not defeat an otherwise proper appeal.
