filling a case
Im waundering how long do the police have to file a charge against you after you been accused of a crime. example- our home was raided illegal substances were found now 5-months later were being charged and appear in court in 2 days.we have an lawyer but hes good for taking money and thats about it.

There are different limitations periods for different crimes, but regardless of the specifics of your charges the five-month delay is not a violation.

You appear to not be satisfied with your attorney. Talk to the attorney about your concerns. If that does not clear up those concerns then you should look for antoher attorney.
