Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
financial crime
I have recently been called in for an
interview by the police who have me as
a suspect in some missing deposits from
work about a year ago. Should I have a
lawyer present?

Re: financial crime
Always a good idea. The police will always try to twist what you are saying against you. Often, their report of conversation with a suspect will have little resemblance to what actually transpired and was said. Their job will be to build a case against you and not to be objective. A lawyer would keep them "honest" and guard against abuse.
