also if you can qualify for the services of the Public Defender's Office, that will be pro-bono or very close to it. You generally would apply at the arraignment, the first court date. Good luck!

If this is a criminal case, the odds of finding a pro bono attorney are slim unless this is a high profile case or one that involves huge constitutional issues.

Instead, the system has the public defender to provide legal representation if you cannot afford to hire one.
