5 weeks ago. the nature of the crime
is forging a state seal. pc 472 He
went to a casino to collect his
winnings with a fake ID of himself,
he was detained and questioned for
over 6 hours then escorted off of the
casino property and let go. he was
told then that when he obtained a
real dmv ID he would have to call the
casino director, to collect his
winnings. ok so he has called the
man several times this week after
recieving his ID from DMV in the
mail, leaving several messages. His
call was returned today by said man
and was told to come out and collect
his money after he arrived he
discovered it was a set up to get him
out there so they could arrest him.
hes charged with forgery and his bail
is set at 20,00.00 what are his
chances or what is he facing he has
priors, unrelated, but has done some
state time. what should i do?

Re: forgery
He may have a good lawsuit against the casino. While the alleged forgery of a state seal is troubling, and he needs to defend that charge, it is certainly not a crime to gamble under an assumed name, or to attempt to collect one's own money.
Call attorney Robert Nersesian in Las Vegas, who is known for representing patrons roughed up by casinos, and see if he can refer you to someone in your area. You might want to read Nersesian's book, Beat The Players.
