Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

I found out I have a warrant for commercial shoplifting. I've never been in trouble before not even a tragic ticket and need to clear this up but have 4kids and can't aford to go to jail.

If there's a warrant out there for you, you need to be proactive and handle it before you get arrested and hauled to jail. If you hire an attorney, that lawyer can appear in court, get the warrant recalled and represent you without you ever having to appear in court.

If you're convicted, jail is unlikely, so don't turn this into a jail case by getting arrested on he warrant.

Your goal should be to try and avoid a conviction in the first place. You need a good criminal defense attorney. I'd strongly suggest you find someone who focuses on criminal law and who routinely practices in the court where this case will be heard.
