Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

Okay I have a friend who has been convicted of a crime in the Ventura County Courthouse. His name is Vizcardo, Jonathan Reagan DOB is 6/22/1990 his violation date is 2001. The case number is 2011014241. He was convicted with unlawful sex with a minor. If the violation date is in 2001 and he was born in 1990 he would have been 11 at the time of the violation. I am kind of confused as to what is going on here. Is there anyone who can help me to understand this situation?

Are you sure that the entry is not a typographical error by the clerk? You would have to read the actual charging document to be sure. It is possible the date should be 2011, and not 2001.
