Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
I took a friend over to my daughters house and that friend stole from my daughters roommate. My daughter is trying to say that I am legally responsible. As badly as I feel, I think she should go after my friend who actually stole the item instead of me. Who do you think is the responsible party??

Your friend is legally responsible but if your "friend" is not willing to make restitution you might cover the bill in order to keep peace in the family
