Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
Have a friend incarcerated for some time and has completed and sent in a writ of habeas corpus; it came quickly and was denied; my question is what would be the next step for this person if they do not want to accept the declination; meaning can they re-apply, or are there other options considering time is of the essence.

I would need more information before I could say which options are available to your friend, and to assess his chances. You and he are welcome to contact me directly if you'd like to discuss his situation. I have over 20 years of experience in writs and appeals, and am certified as an appellate specialist by the State Bar of California's Board of Legal Specialization. Good luck.
