Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
One of my friends had an argument with his wife, after a lot of yelling etc, she started getting violent like throwing things, which made him excited to restrain her and in the process, she got hurt with a bruise on her face. My friend took her to the ER and the ER called the police. He got arrested with charges of domestic battery felony under 273.5. Next day, he signed a bail bond and came out. They hired an attorney, and attorney told that he talked to the DA, and the DA changed it to misdemeanour charge. HIs wife is supporting him and willing to drop any charges against him. But my friend is very worried about what will happen in court, what if they still convict him with a misdemeanor?

Your friend should ask these questions of his attorney, it will not help to give you information to give him. Post office=BAD LEGAL advice. Any reason why he does not JUST ASK HIS LAWYER HE PAID FOR?
