Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

My girlfriend and I had an argument, it ended up with neighbors calling cops. She plead not guilty to theCharges on Inflicting Corporal Injury on Spause/Cohabitant. Did she do right thing?

How could anyone tell with such a brief statement that omits all of the facts?

Ditto. She either has an attorney hired, or one representing her (appointed) correct? That is who she needs to talk to, and that is the person with access to the facts, according to the police report.
