Girlfriend Is pregnant in jail

My girlfriend is in the ventura county jail. she was sentenced to 42 days for possesion of a controlled substance from 2 1/2 years ago. recently we found out that she is pregnant. she has court on monday aug. 2. for a minor in possesion of alchohol. she cannot sleep or eat. is there any way to get her onto house arrest or lower her sentence due to her physical, medical, and mental state? thank you

Your girlfriend's attorney should be able to present evidence regarding her medical, mental, and other conditions that may be relevant to sentencing, and to avoid a sentence that is cruel and unusual, if those factors apply. You should speak to her attorney regarding those factors, and preapproval into a program or other alternative sentencing before her court date.
