Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
Hello my girlfriend recently went to a walmart and tried to use the self checkout and one item would not scan she asked an employee for help. The employee said that she put a code in but did not state what that code did or what it meant, she assumed the item was scanned for her and payed for all the merchandise. While she began to leave she was stopped by security who took her ID and said she will be fined. Well today the fine came in but it does not have her correct name on it. What would be the best course of action?
