Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
My girlfriends boss to her to write herself a check
my girlfriend needed to get paid and her boss was out of the office. on many occasions, her boss told her on several occasions to write and sign a check. after her boss get levied by the irs she decided to claim she did not tell her to write these check and is threatening to file criminal charges against her. I may add her ex boss is an attorney. what can she do.

If an attorney threatens someone with criminal prosecution, this is a violation of attorney ethics rules which can be reported to the State Bar of California.
