Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
grand theft charges?
I made some bad choices in a past relationship and now my ex is pressing charges against me for grand theft/forgery. I'm going to court and hired a lawyer.I'm planning on pleading guilty because it is the right thing to do and my lawyer has advised me that since i have no prior records i wont be going to jail and he can have me do work release or electronic mointioring? He's a great lawyer and person so I trust him but I'am a worrier and am afraid that will change. In california what are my chances of not actually having to go to jail?

Re: grand theft charges?
You said that you have an attorney and that you trust him. Correct? Then why ask a total stranger this question. Stop listening to everyone who has an opinion and trust your attorney. If what your attorney is telling you still leaves you with questions, then ask your attorney to explain further. Stop worrying because no matter what anyone tells you, it will not matter. Let your attorney do his job. In the end you will be better off doing what I have said here then asking all kinds of questions. Your attorney knows what the situation is and will guide you through it.
