Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
Grand Theft and Embezzlement
I am being charged with a misdemeanor count of grand theft and embezzlement from a previous employer penal codes 508/487 (A) and 487 (B) (3) in the county of San Mateo my arraignment date is Sept. 11, 2002 what do I do? What can they sentence me with? I am currently employed with another company and at the time this took place I did write a statement admitting to what took place and was very cooperative. At the time it took place they said they were going to charge me with a felony on each count but it now looks like they have reduced them to misdemeanors. I have no previous record and am what I consider a good citizen.

Re: Grand Theft and Embezzlement
You should get a civil compromise so that criminal charges won't be pressed. How much is in question? What type of establishment is it? Please contact my office at 310/277-1707 to further discuss your options.
