Grand theft penalty ?
what the penalty is for grand theft in the state of california? a family member of mine has been arrested but bailed out and has a court date. I want to know what to expect for the penalty?

Depends on the actual charges, his priors and other aggravating/mitigating circumstances. Felonies by definition have minimum one year penalty, and up from there. Get him an attorney. Have him contact me if serious about defending, and if the case is in SoCal courts.
