Guilty of Homicide?
If someone shoots someone and wounds them and the person is in the hospital 18 months being treated for the wound and then dies, and expert testimony says that the cause of death was from the bullet wound inflicted, is the person guilty of homicide?

Yes, the person could be found guilty of homicide. It doesen't matter when the person dies. What matters is if the death was caused by the defendant acting in an intentional or felonious manner.

The answer is yes. The shooter can be guilty of homicide.
