What can happen if a officer is searching you and they accidentally get poked by a open syringe

Assuming the search is legal you can certainly be charged with possession of paraphernalia. If the officer asked you prior to the search what he/she is likely to find and you did not tell the officer about the syringe there may be other charges also, You can expect no mercy from the DA or a jury..
