what happin to a police officer who gets cought lying in court

Maybe nothing. Maybe the cop gets fired and no police agency will never hire him again. Maybe the District Attorney will prosecute him for perjury and send him to prison... although that's very unlikely.

If he gets caught, he gets charged with a felony. He will be kicked off the force. Then he may retire to Idaho and write books about criminal investigations, and be a commentator on TV and radio programs.
