harassement

my exboyfriend and his new girlfriend have been harassing me. This weekend they did a employee background investigation on me by forging my signature and saying that I had applied for a job at the company her father owns. I am really scared because now my ex who has a histroy of stalking me knows everything about me. I contacted the police but just found out today that she in on informal probabtion for grand theft. Is is harassment and forgery considered a parole violation? What are my civial rights if I choose to sue her or her fathers compnay in civil court for harassment, forgery or identity theft. I am in Sacramento county and she is in Orange County.

Depending on what your ex and his girlfriend did, one or both of them may have violated various provisions of California Penal Code section 502. This section protects the security of computer systems and personal data by making it a crime to access and/or use them without authorization. Different types of access and use constitute different crimes, but there is a good chance that at least one of them committed a crime by running this report.

Regardless of whether their actions amount to harassment and regardless of whether harassment would violate the girlfriend's probation, committing a new crime almost certainly would.
