harassment

What legal recourse is available for somone who is constantly following another person around in a public place, making inappropriate comments, staring, at and questioning others for information concerning where I live.

I do know this person, yet I have made it clear that I do not want any contact.

Re: harassment

You should do two things immediately.

First: make a police report about this person. He is the classic stalker and has the potential of being very dangerous. When Reporting this to the police be sure to report the extent to which he goes to follow you.

Second: Get a restraining order to keep this person away from you. If you have dated this person in the past year you can get a domestic violence restraining order.

Third: If you can move do that. Be careful and beaware of what is going on around you.
