Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

Harrasment

What can I do about my neighbor harrassing me about parking my car on the street in front of her house? There is no place else on the street to park. Has threated me with bodily harm and my car. I have call the police and filed a report... they came out and spoke to each of us... and I only feel now that it is going to get worse. She also works for the city police department

Re: Harrasment

You may get a retraining order against her if the threats have happened within the last 30 days. If it is causing you medical problems you may have a cause of action for intentional infliction of emotional distress. Please call me directly at (619) 222-3504.

An individual's property rights stop at the curb on a public street. But give the neighbor a break and park in different places on different days.

Even though she works for the plice this kind of incident doesn't help her with her job rating. So she should be looking for a way out of the problem. Talk to her and see if something can be worked out. Keep a log of what goes on between you and your neighbor so you have a record.
