Harsh Sentence Given
Is there some legal organization I can contact or report a very, very harsh sentence that was given to my son in an Orange County court house in California? I need help. Thank you. Today is 12/19/2007

The sentence you consider "very, very harsh" might seem quite reasonable to others; being the defendant's mother probably afffected your ability to be objective about such things. Further, harsh sentences are sometimes appropriate. Because you have not provided any information about the crime and have given only your own opinion of the sentence, there is no way to say whether it was appropriate or not.
Your son has the right to appeal his conviction and his sentence. That is the best forum in which to argue that the sentence was improper. If your son can't afford a lawyer, one will be appointed for him.
