Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

I was held but not arrested by Palm Springs Police in 2005 in a cell for 72 hours, during that time they would not turn off the main light to let me sleep - is this torture?

No, it was good customer service. They provided you with a night light in case you were afraid of the dark..
