Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
Hello
I was in San Diego for 3 months for studying English. On the last evening, I was walking with a beer in my hand down the street. I climbed up a street sign when suddenly the police saw me and arrested me for 5 hours. I didn't get a fine or penalty for that. They charged me for 647(f) P.C. and released per 849b(2).
I am Swiss and live in Switzerland (Europe)
What does it mean for me, am I able to visit US again. I think about to work in US. Is this still possible?
Thank you

Any criminal offense can affect your immigration status. Your best course of action would be to fight the current charge in an effort to have it reduced or dismissed. If your desire is to return to the U.S., it is better to have a clean record.
