HS11550a diversion (statute of limitations)?

Is there a statute of limitation inregards to the diversion program for a first timer charged with being under the influence of a controlled substance (HS11550a)?

There are statutes of limitation for misdemeanors of one year, and statutes for felonies of three years and up.

The statute of limitations, however, only limits when a case can be filed against someone. If the person you are speaking of in your question is on diversion for HS 11550a, then the statute of limitations is no longer relevant, as a plea has to be entered and held to obtain sentencing for diversion.
