If my husband was arrested in CA for 4 (so they say) felonies...On OCTOBER FIRST...if the DA has not sent charges to the courthouse and today is OCTOBER 20, when will the DA file or will he? What happens when on Monday, OCTOBER 24 when my husband is to appear in court to plea and nothing is in the courthouse's dockets....What happens with the charges???

The DA's office could file on the date the case is scheduled to be arraigned. Its also possible that the case could be filed later. The time the prosecution has to file varies with the statute of limitations for each crime. If you want a more precise answer you can either call an attorney in or near your area to go over all the facts, or I will offer you a free telephone consultation at 661-267-1313 and I will answer your questions......David Wallin
