Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

My Husband was charged with Penal Code 11379. He was not arrested nor was he charged with it at the time the incident took place. The Passanger of the car my husband was driving was charged with it. What should we excpect when he goes to court?

There is no penal code section 11379. There is a health and safety code section 11379, transportation of drugs or selling drugs. The penalty is 3, 6 or 9 years. Enhancements could lengthen the time. Your husband needs to either retain an attorney to represent him or have counsel appointed to represent him this is a very serious crime and a conviction results in a lengthy stay in prison.
