Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
My husband got transferred to wasco state prison reception center about two weeks ago hes serving a life term sentence does anybody know how long it usually takes for an inmate with a life term to stay in reception till they get transferred to a real state prison I hate this reception place they dont allow any inmates to use the phone till they get transferred to a prison in mainline...some people tell me it takes 3-6 months to get transferred and some other people tell me 3 months to a year...im confused

There is no fixed time. The last client that I worked for who went to prison took about 3 months for processing through reception. That was about 2 years ago.
