Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

Is it illegal to grow and sale California poppies (Eschscholzia californica), on my website (flowersforneighbors.com) and door to door locally in Ventura county california? I have not been able to find poppy flowers for sale anywhere and so I am concerned there is a legal reason for this. Is growing and selling California Poppies a grey area? Please help!

California poppies are the official state flower of the State of California. California poppies are not illegal, and do not contain opium. They do contain a different class of alkoloids, but they are not opium poppies. There is a whole reserve of California Poppies in Antelope Valley, but keep in mind that it is illegal to cut or remove the flowers from public land, or from private land without the permission of the owner. (Pen. Code, sect. 384a.)
