Illegal Weapon
my friend got pulled over one of the headlights was not working, in the car they found a baton (that belongs to me) he borrowed my car. he claimed it was his and now they are charging him with a felony for it. now what happens if I take the blame? I have a prior misdemeanor? what will happen to me?

You need to work through an attorney on this. If you just go to the police and tell them that it is your baton both of you could be charged with possession of the baton.
