Impersonating/Forgery on World Wide Web

My name, home telephone number, home town &

occupation has been entered onto a sex web site

that provides a forum for people to learn about

and then possibly meet to have group/ discreet

sex. I have been getting calls to my home from

people who have viewed the web site and want to

meet. I know who is doing this to me and want to

know if they are breaking any

You can get a restraining order to stop this type of harasment. You would however have to have evidence that the person you suspect is the person that you suspect is actually doing it. Your statement that you know who it is will not be enough for the court.

You could also contact the web site master and explain the situation, and request that you name not be posted on the web site again.

Contact the district attorney. There is a recent case in Southern California in which a man was convicted of some crime, I don't recall what it was. He placed the name of a woman in the web along with statements that it was her fantasy to be raped. Her address, telephone number, security code for her home alarm system and other information.

This is a new area of the law so you may have to be very persistent to get some help.
